40 Silent Sermons: GirlMic/Leslie’s Last Days (10)

IMG_2118It is 3pm and Leslie opened her eyes. Her HR is 115 and her Sp02 is 98. I am monitor watching when her friend from high School, Lisa walked in with this beautiful smile. She explained that she and Leslie were majorettes together and Leslie was like her big sister who picked her up to go to practice. I enjoyed hearing about Leslie’s gift of giving and always helping others. I met one of Leslie’s  sweetest and caring nurses, Nicole today. She explained what the doctors were planning and this is the first time a doctor mentioned the  possibility of tracheostomy placement .
